Almost a year since the release of SNKRX’s mobile port, I decided to register a full limited company with the intent of porting and publishing LÖVE games to consoles and mobile devices – and so, mazette! was born. The console work was mainly motivated by initial efforts to bring SNKRX to Nintendo Switch, but that never ended up materialising.
Since then, about a year later, the company’s first port of a Godot game came out. Almost exactly a year in fact - 25/05/22 for company incorporation and 24/05/23 for the release of The Case of the Golden Idol on Switch.
Running the company provided a lot of valuable experience and a lot more talking points for dinner conversations. It’s also just rather fun to do and I look forward to seeing where it takes me.
